to Acta Orthopaedica (acta.ort[at]ort.lu.se), a non-profit, Open Access journal owned by the Nordic Orthopaedic Federation and the official publication of this federation. All articles, full-text, published since start 1930 are free and can be found via PubMed or at Taylor & Francis/Informa Health Care (search for Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica until 2004, thereafter Acta Orthopaedica)

Acta Orthopaedica (previously Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica) presents original articles of basic research interest, as well as clinical studies in the field of orthopedics and related sub disciplines. Ever since the journal was founded in 1930, by a group of Scandinavian orthopedic surgeons, the journal has been published for an international audience. Acta is distributed by Taylor & Francis.

Acta Orthopaedica publishes original papers from all parts of the world. Articles requiring extensive space, such as monographs, doctoral theses and congress transactions, are published as supplements. Over the years, Acta Orthopaedica has issued more than 300 supplements.
